The penis must be erect before inserting into the sleeve. Proper care must be taken while doing this and the use of lubricant is highly recommend.

Popular condoms today are waterproof, elastic and come in either latex or 2 types of non-latex, Polyisoprene and Polyurethane. One last latex alternative are lambskin or natural skin condoms. These have a unique feel because they are made from flesh and not from a synthetic material. Unfortunately because of this they do not protect against STD's as pores in the skin allow for small particles to pass through. They will however still provide protection against pregnancy.
